Manvir Bains

MA, RCC

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor I am honoured to continually witness the strength and vulnerability of all my clients. I wholeheartedly believe that we are the experts of our own lives. During our time together my hope is to remind you that this is your journey; you are the expert of your life and you ultimately hold all the answers you are seeking. I am simply here to help guide you and provide some insight. You are navigating the boat and I am the anchor that can provide moments of pause when the storm comes.

I have been in the mental health field for over ten years, where I have had the honour of working with children, youth, adults, and families, from all walks of life. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma+PTSD, psychosis, suicidality, grief and loss and navigating life changes (relocation, jobs, school, divorce/separation, etc.). Through empathy, humour, and a desire for deeper understanding, I strive to create a safe, non judgemental, culturally competent space where my clients feel connected and inspired to continue their healing journey.

If I am not in the office you will find me curled up on the couch reading, working on a new DIY project or enjoying the outdoors whether that’s hiking, biking or kayaking. There is nothing I enjoy more than eating good food and sharing laughs with my family and friends!

Who am I outside of work? I am a partner, a daughter, a sister, and a dog lover!

I am fluent in Punjabi and am able to offer counselling services in Punjabi.
