Megan Shinger
MA, RCC
I view therapy as a collaborative and compassionate space where individuals can explore their inner world, strengthen their sense of self, and create meaningful change. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and non-judgment, allowing clients to feel seen and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. I strive to meet each person where they are, fostering safety and trust while empowering them to uncover their own strengths and resilience.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) candidate. My therapeutic foundation is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed practice. I have experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I am passionate about creating an inclusive and culturally sensitive space, where each client’s unique experiences and identities are valued and respected.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy coaching competitive swimming, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new coffee shops. I find balance and joy in connecting with my community, being outdoors, and engaging in lifelong learning—both personally and professionally.
