Mike De Wit
M.Ed, RCC
As a counsellor, my priority is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges and leave each session with a sense of clarity and calm. Therapy is an opportunity for self-reflection and growth, tailored to your unique needs.
I draw on various approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I believe effective counselling is individualized—there is no one-size-fits-all method.
My background includes a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education with a focus in Physical Education and a Master’s in Counselling from the University of Victoria. I have extensive experience working with students from elementary through high school and currently serve as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
Outside of my professional role, I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and spending time with my family—including our energetic golden doodle. I value the peace found in nature and look forward to supporting you in overcoming life’s challenges.
