Misty Teteris

MSW, RSW

I value partnering with people to hear their story, learn about their needs, and empower them to find a renewed sense of self. My counselling process is not a recipe but an artistic process to find unique solutions and healing. What you can expect is a safe and stable space to learn, process, and reframe

My masters specialization is in Social Work in the clinical treatment of trauma at the University of Calgary. My overall practice is eclectic and thoughtful towards changing needs. Some of the therapeutic approaches I utilize are Strengths Based practice, Systems Theory, Attachment Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. My experience includes working in community and healthcare settings serving a variety of populations with various personal circumstances. I currently work with youth, individuals, couples, and families.

If I am to describe myself I would say that I’m human first with a personality that is open, curious, creative, real, and relaxed. When I’m not at the office I’m at home keeping up with my family, at a group fitness program, or out on a day trip.
